Terminus History

TerminusTerminus began operations in the 1980s, when Litton Poly-Scientific (Northrop Grumman, Moog Components Group) manufactured the product line.

In the late 1980s, Shock Sensors were redesigned from the Single Contact design (AC2537) to the current Dual Contact design (SP3237). This advance greatly reduced false alarms caused by the failure of a single contact.

By the early 1990s, the Recessed Shock Sensor (SP3227) was designed, featuring the Dual Contact technology, creating a flush mount package.

Around the same time, the Processor Boards (SP2515, SP2579, SP2568, SP2574 and SP2544) were redesigned to move from feed-through component boards to the new surface mount component boards (SP3219-1, SP3219-2, SP3268, SP3274 and SP3273).

In late 2006, Moog Components Group, then manufacturer of Terminus, sold the product line. Terminus Products, Inc. took ownership and continues to manufacture and support the complete Terminus product line today.
